Our focus is on creating value for our customers by prioritising their needs. True success can only be achieved through collaboration and partnerships with customers, partners and colleagues.
Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)

Maersk Drilling joined a new CO2 storage consortium in 2020 formed by INEOS Oil & Gas Denmark and Wintershall Dea. The consortium is maturing one of the most progressed carbon capture and storage projects inside Danish jurisdiction, Project Greensand, and targets the development of CO2 storage capacity offshore Denmark based on reusing discontinued offshore oil and gas fields for permanent CO2 storage.

Project Greensand is one example of the activities Maersk Drilling is involved in within CCS. If you would like to know more about our other CCS activities, please contact Navid Ostadian-Binai, Senior Commercial Innovation Partner

RigFlow - Digitalising drilling operations

DPP (1)

Today the information flow for conducting drilling operations is largely based on paper-based processes, which are the root cause of many operational pain points. Maersk Drilling has developed an innovative digital offering, RigFlow, which revolutionises how the industry orchestrates drilling operations across all involved parties. RigFlow digitalises the information flow between the well plan and rig operations, allowing all involved to operate efficiently and transparently based on real-time plans and operational instructions.

RigFlow is now live and being deployed on several rigs with different operators. If you would like to hear more you can contact Esben Thorup, RigFlow Lead at

Connecting with start-ups

Connecting with start-ups

Maersk Drilling is actively looking to partner with start-ups, to drive growth and solve some of the biggest challenges that the energy industry is facing.

Maersk Drilling is continuously expanding its global ecosystem of start-ups, universities, innovation hubs and other partners. To find start-ups for specific solutions and gain insights into how others in the industry are driving innovation, we are currently working with innovation platforms such as Plug and Play in Sunnyvale and The Ion in Houston.

If you are interested in collaborating with us, you are welcome to send an email to Camilla Gilbro, Innovation Ecosystem Lead at answering the below three questions, and we'll get in touch soon:

1. What does your start-up deliver?
2. How do you see a fit with Maersk Drilling?
3. What do you expect to get out of cooperating with Maersk Drilling?
