Resolute: Collaborating for efficiency

To access the wells, it was necessary to use divers. Aiming to increase safety, efficiency and to reduce client costs the rig, diving company and client worked closely together
to allow diving operations to take place from the rig. By installing diving equipment on Maersk Resolute, both swimming distance and costs were significantly decreased
compared to using support vessels to perform the operation. The operation was enabled by the temporary installation of power units, decompressor chambers and launch cages. A safe diving procedure was agreed by all involved parties, as a result a total of 128 dives were completed without any accidents or incidents.
