In May 2015, Maersk Discoverer completed drilling the HPHT well Atoll-1 in Egypt for customer BP.

Discoverer Drilling HPHT wells offshore Egypt

The well was the longest well drilled in the Mediterranean Sea and the deepest in Egypt, measuring 6,400m in TVD. The operation was completed in 234 days, which was 62 days ahead of AFE target, creating a substantial cost saving for the customer.
