The Camp Boss is responsible for all hotel services on the rig and leads the catering crew. He/she is responsible for the safety, work schedules, job content and work allocation of catering personnel, and for maintaining the food stocks.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW TO HOLD THE POSITION?
In order to hold this position, you must have the following:
- Certified cook with a minimum of four years’ experience
- Minimum one year’s experience as a Chief Steward on seagoing ships or a similar position in the offshore industry
- Proficiency in all aspects of cooking, food hygiene, stock rotation, and nutritional aspects of menu planning.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
This position is not often a Maersk Drilling position, but is covered by an external catering company.
