Welder

The Marine section focuses on the rig as a whole, handling movement and positioning, deck and other operations, control room operations and more.

From operating the dynamic positioning system to handling crane, anchor and ballast operations to managing helicopter landings and take-offs, the Marine section offers a range of roles that are critical to the safe operation of the rig.

WHAT DOES THE WORK CONSIST OF?

The Welder carries out repair jobs and maintenance work which require welding and/or cutting by oxygen/ acetylene equipment. At all times, the Welder must ensure that all jobs are carried out with the necessary approvals and postings.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW TO HOLD THE POSITION?

In order to hold this position, you must have a valid welder’s qualification certificate according to DS/EN 287-1, alternatively to ASME IX covering 6G welding position.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

You need to be a certified welder with some working experience in the field. Offshore experience is not a prerequisite.
