At Maersk Drilling, we aim for the very highest safety standards. Our responsibility to ensure the safety of our people is always our first priority. We want our offshore personnel to feel secure in the knowledge that they will return home safely after every single shift.

We are committed to offshore safety and maintaining a safe working environment. Our goal is simple yet ambitious: we want to be a company with zero accidents.

To reach this goal, all employees have to commit themselves to the task. No matter what we do or where we are in the company, we must bear safety in mind - at all times. .

We firmly believe that we can improve our offshore safety performance and eliminate accidents by growing a strong safety culture - a culture driven by values, beliefs, behaviour, and by our interaction with other people. We will not be satisfied until we have achieved our goal.

Safety

process safety

To us, process safety involves managing a multitude of safety controls to ensure that we avoid major incidents. Controls exist both in our procedures and our safety culture, as well as in the design of our equipment, the technical specifications of our assets, and how it is all operated and maintained.

We have an excellent track record of identifying hazards, managing risks and taking the reporting of HSSE incidents seriously. And as part of our dedication to continuous improvement and further strengthening of our process safety methodology, we will look to make enhancements in the areas of contractor management, compliance/standards identification and management of Safety Critical Elements.

safety Observation System Active

The Safety Observation System Active helps us reach our goal of being a company with zero accidents, by highlighting process and behaviour related risks. We carefully assess these major hazards and risks, and take all the necessary measures to mitigate or eliminate them.

Stop Work directive

We launched the Stop Work directive to empower all employees with the authority to prevent major accidents. In an unsafe or dangerous situation, it may not always be possible to wait for guidance from a supervisor. That's why every employee has the power to stop work for safety concerns.
