The drilling barges are smaller, more mobile and less technically demanding than the other units in Maersk Drilling's fleet. Our drilling barges in Venezuela operate with excellent reliability.

As a business, the barges represent a minor part of Maersk Drilling's activities, but for years they have been a major success with regards to safety. Several of our units on Lake Maracaibo have gone years without Lost Time Incidents.
